The Literacy Coalition is funded 100 percent through donations, grants and community support. Every penny stays right here in Hancock County to promote lifelong literacy.

You support will allow us to continue our mission to coordinate and support
community initiatives that promote lifelong literacy, right here in Hancock County. 

  • A $25 donation sponsors 1 child in our Imagination Library program for 1 year (that is 12 new books).

  • A $50 donation sponsors 1 child in our Imagination Library program for 2 years (that is 24 new books).

  • A $75 donation sponsors 1 child in our Imagination Library program for 3 years (that is 36 new books).

  • A $100 donation sponsors 1 child in our Imagination Library program for 4 years (that is 48 new books).

  • A $125 donation sponsors 1 child in our Imagination Library program for all 5 years (that is 60 new books).

  • A $200 donation sponsors 100 books for local agencies in our Community Books program.

  • A $600 donation sponsors one grade level in our Tell-A-Tale Creative Writing contest.

  • A $1,000 donation sponsors one Family Literacy Night at a local school.

Coalition of Hancock County's Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program. If you are interested

Volunteer for the Coalition

Another way to support the coalition is through your time. We are always looking for volunteers for our
various programs, community events and committee members. If you are interested in volunteering for
